Children at St Mark’s both share and care about each other and the environment. As they move through the school into year 5, all of the Year 5 children have the opportunity to apply for extra responsibility. The Year 5 jobs are to encourage a sense of responsibility and to have pride in our school while encouraging and helping others. It helps boost the confidence of all children. Some of the positions such as Peer Mediators and Play Buddies have been in place for a number of years. Recently we have added Eco Warriors and Tidy Bugs. The children have to apply for the positions at the end of Year 4 and go through an interview process and were given either their first or second choice.
