For art week, we looked at the work of Piet Mondrian. He was an artist famous for his use of primary colours. We looked at his work, learnt some things about him and then created our own piece of Mondrian inspired art work. In order to create this, we had a go at some different Mondrian designs before creating one for our final piece. To make this, we copied our design neatly onto a large elephant template.
We also looked at the story of Elmer and how his pattern is similar to artwork by Mondrian. We even did a little bit of drama where we pretended to be the different animals from the Elmer story!
