Critical Worker and Vulnerable Children School Arrangements

20th March 2020

Dear parents,

You will have already read the Critical Worker and Vulnerable Children letter that went out today as well as the Critical Worker and Vulnerable Children School Place request form. The following information only applies to those children who meet the criteria for school provision from Monday.

Breakfast club

If your child meets the criteria and are in school and you would like for your child to have a place at Breakfast club, then please come to the main hall via the KS2 playground from 7.30am on the first morning you wish to book your child a place. Attendance is £3.50 per session payable in advance either via cash or Parent Pay.

If your child has not attended Breakfast club previously, then you will need to complete some paperwork regarding food allergies etc. on their first morning at the Breakfast club. You can book and pay for sessions ahead on a weekly basis.

Arrival and collection arrangements

All children are to enter the school each morning via the KS2 gate from 8.30am (unless they are attending Breakfast Club) and remain on the KS2 playground rather than walk round to the KS1 playground as staffing levels will be more limited. On Monday 23rd March the children will initially come into the school hall before being allocated a teacher and classroom space to work in.

Children can be collected at 3.10pm from the KS2 playground if they are at school for the afternoon session. No other gate will be open.

If your child comes in or leaves part way through the day, then you will need to sign them in and out via the inventory system in the entrance hall.

If you are requiring After School provision from Little Farm, then please contact them directly on:

Resources/equipment required

Please can all children attending school from Monday bring the following items:

  • Their own packed lunch on Monday 23rd March. You will be updated on Monday as to catering arrangements thereafter.
  • A named drink bottle.
  • Their school book bag which needs to contain their home school diary, reading book and their home learning plan and exercise book if your child has already taken it home.
  • Their PE kit.
  • Please ensure any medication such as inhalers and epi-pens are in school as normal.

Safeguarding and Health and Safety arrangements

It is essential that parents complete the attendance table which is at the bottom of the Request for School Place form for the week commencing 23rd March. Thereafter all parents will need to complete an attendance sheet for the following week. We need to know exactly which children are in the school each day. If you child is unwell and unable to attend school on a day you have selected on the attendance table, then you must contact the school office and inform them by ringing the attendance line.

Please ensure that all your contact details are up to date.

If your child or anyone in your household is exhibiting a new continuous cough or a high temperature, then please ensure that all members of the family living in the household self-isolate for 14 days.  As per norm, if your child has sickness or diarrhea then they are to remain off school for 48 hours following the last bout of illness.

Thank you again for your continued support.
