Last week Jo Enver , one of our parents, delivered 19 sets of scrubs to Weston Hospicecare & 12 scrubs tops to a GP surgery in Portishead. She has almost finished her next order for a care agency in Birmingham before starting on a 2nd batch of fabric where we can then offer sets of scrubs out to whoever needs them.
She has also been making scrubs bags, which the girls have been helping me turn & face masks on request. She delivered 42 face masks to staff at a local care agency & 16 more to family members this week.
She has roped her mum, sister & aunt into knitting pairs of hearts to donate to hospitals to give one to the patient & one to the family who can’t be together. They all learnt the basics of knitting from her Nan years ago & although her mum thinks she is not a great knitter & despite a few teething problems with the pattern at the beginning, she persevered & we worked it out between us in the end. I think she’s done really well & they look great!
