Year 5 Jobs

All pupils have a chance to apply for a Year 5 job of their choice. This can be a Peer Mentor, Play Buddy or a member of the Task Force group.

The pupils are asked to fill out an application form stating why they think they would be suitable for a particular role and what qualities they have which may be useful. The children are interviewed, then along with consultation with class teachers the jobs are fairly divided out.  We aim to match up each pupil with their first or second choice wherever possible. Training for each role is undertaken and regular termly meeting are held within each job sector, where children can initiate ideas and organise rota’s for distribution of chores.
