One of our parents works in a local residential care home and approached our Headteacher about setting up a link between the care home & school. Mrs Bath shared some lovely things that the elderly residents sent to school including letters about themselves, a beautiful kindness tree and Christian sayings. Some of the children have written back to the residents.

The Academy Council also talked with Mrs Bath about our school sending gifts to the residents in the local care homes who otherwise would not get a gift on Christmas morning. We are going to hold a wear a 'Christmas outfit for the day' in exchange for a voluntary contribution. The money that day will be used to purchase tins of sweets/ boxes of chocolates for those residents & the rest of the money will be given to the Weston Foodbank.
