School Uniform at St Mark’s
“We believe that the wearing of a school uniform enables children to identify with their school, gives a sense of belonging, is practical and smart, reinforces a positive work ethos and reduces expenditure for families.”
The St. Mark’s school uniform is as follows:
Sweatshirts and Cardigans | Navy with school logo - from NK Uniform |
Polo shirts (Please no shirts or blouses) | White, logo NOT required |
Trousers (winter), shorts (summer) | Grey only |
Skirt or pinafore dress | Grey only |
Summer dresses (March - October) | Blue gingham checked dress |
Shoes (closed toe) | Black – all shoes must be securely tied or Velcroed |
Boots | Black |
Socks | Black or grey or white only |
Tights | Black, navy or grey only |
Hairbands / hair ties / hair slides etc | Navy only |
The only branded items of clothing children are expected to wear are the jumpers and cardigans.
We will be holding termly uniform sales where pre-loved uniform is £2 per item.
All uniform with a school logo can be purchased from NK Uniform.
Wearing jewellery at school:
A wrist watch is permitted but they must not have in-built cameras.
Children must not wear bracelets or bands on their wrists. (Except for fund-raising weeks when bands sold at school may be worn for the duration of that week.)
Small gold or silver coloured stud earrings may be worn. For Health & Safety reasons no hooped earrings are allowed to be worn and for PE, children must be able to independently remove their stud earrings or tape them over.
No rings on fingers or necklaces are allowed.
Children must not wear stick-on tattoos, nail varnish, any form of make-up or wear perfume.
